We travelled to Kudal by train and then took an auto to Sagar Kinara Hotel which was actually recommended by the auto driver.
God bless that man for taking us to Sagar Kinara. It’s after we reached the hotel that we realized why this place was called ‘Sagar Kinara’. Precisely because it was at the Sagar kinara. Yes, it was at the very shore of Malvan.
I’ve never really stayed at hotels while travelling the Konkan region, this was my first and I was quite surprised.
The rooms are neat, clean, well painted, and airy and have a lovely view. The bathroom was clean and well equipped like any modern bathroom with abundance of hot water.
We stayed in a double bed room and were given and extra bed complimentarily. Four of us friends lived in the room and we were more than comfortable.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is just 2 minutes away from the pier(or jetty where boats take you to Sindhudurg Fort) and is actually at the end of the market road.
This cuts most of your commuting time especially to restaurants and stores.
The Hotel also has an in house restaurant. We didn’t have any lunch or dinner there, but the breakfast they served was sumptuous and we repented for not having any meals there.
All in all, our stay there was a beautiful experience and I would thumbs up anyone who is looking for a review of this place!
