I stayed in Hotel India room no. 110 for 4 days in Dec.2006. Its a mediocre hotel with very average rooms. Often you have problems like the bathroom door won't open from inside, ring up room service for A/C. The shower tap may come off in your hands etc. your room view may overlook a passage way to the kichen which may turn off your appetite. There is no Gym as is claimed in their website. The restaurant is good as long as there is no rush in the hotel otherwise no service is the motto, especially at breakfast time. Breakfast menu is lesser than least. However, the hotel has great potential. Its strategically located in Cantonment area, very near to the railway station. Only thing needed is management. There are a series of hotels in the row and with a little effort things can turn around well. Its averagely priced but definitely wrongly starred (3 *).
