I have been using Hotel Annamalai for many years. Many of my overseas guests have also stayed. With regard to value for money, it is quite good. Centrallu located and connectivity is good. The management has good check on the level of service. The rooms are nicely maintained. If you very particular about outside noise, take a room away from the front side.
On week ends you can use the swimming pool facility in the top floor.I recommend this hotel for mid budget business travellers.Regarding restaurant, on week ends it takes more time to get special menu. The fish and sea food items in the hotel are supposed to be good. A word of caution, first start with few dishes and order other items later to avoid excess food. Make reservation on busy months, The hotel is close to bus terminus and JIPMER. The hotel also considers discount for regular users. Reception poeple help us giving accurate information about various places in Pondicherry.
