This is a service review for Hostgator India - Hosting services and support.
I bought their annual hosting package only to realize that their hosting services are really bad. As a customer I am posting this review to help you all make an informed decision.
1. The sites will go offline on and off. There is little you can do about it. You will contact support and they will take their own time to look into it. Your urgency does not make it their priority. I was working on the site and suddenly all went offline. When I contacted chat support - technical - he logged a ticket and told me to wait for back-end team to resolve the issue. Why is there a tech support when all they do is log tickets without solving problems?
2. Site builder issues and errors. They refer to it as emergency maintenance, and it can happen anytime without informing anyone. As of today, my site builder is down with some SOAP error and they can't tell me how long it will take to resolve.
3. Non existent customer care. You can call them, or email them, but they do nothing. You will be lucky to get a solution. Most of the time they won't respond. The last time my email was responded to after 10 days, 5 days after my issue was resolved by a chat support executive over a session that laste 1 hour 20 minutes!
