Worst than a government hospital. Review on Hosmat Hospital - Magrath Road - Bangalore

I went to hosmat hospital with a perennial wrist pain in march 2015.After registration I was told to wait for my name to be announced from opd section.i kept on waiting but my name was never announced even after 2 hours.I inquired at the reception and the lady literally frowned at me and said ur file is forwarded and I need to wait.i pushed myself into the opd ward to find out that the nurse has forgot to announce and to send the file to concerned doctor.finally after lot of hurdle I could meet the doctor and it took overall 3.5 hrs. So that is the state of affair of such renowned private orthopedic hospital.

Finally after an year in march 2016 I had to be operated for decompression of lunate bone.for admission it took more than 2.5 hours since the room was not ready and nurses out there did not care what patient might be going through.after creating ruckus at the reception I was send to the private bed on 4th floor. The room was ready for patient with soiled linen(blood stains all over), TV not working, hospital dress with blood stains.on asking if the TV really works I was asked to contact maintenance dept.I dialled maintenance dept. But they too didn't care to come and rectify.I had to be operated by Dr kannan but I could see Dr Chandy's name appearing in all my reports and my medical file.Ridiculous since I had never met him in the past.perhaps just trick to increase the surgery counts by this famous doctor who wants to break the world record for maximum surgeries.

I opted to go to this hospital only for Dr kannan.otherwise this hospital is worst than typical govt.hospital with very old untidy OT, inexperienced staffs.

The tragedy does not end here.post operation when I went for dressing(which was barely a 5 mins task) I was asked to wait for my turn.after waiting for 1 hr.when I inquired the status.to my surprise I was told that the my medical file is misplaced so it is taking time.quite frustated at this I offered to search the file myself to which I was directed to record room next to reception. Just see the miserable state of affairs and the staff attitude.the gentleman said it will take another 15 mins.after waiting for 2.5 hrs I went to the dressing room to check the status.to my surprise I was told that nursing staff has gone for lunch and I need to wait.after 3 hrs finally my dressing was done which was a mere 5 mins task.very sorry state of affairs at this hospital. After all who cares for patient.I would never recommend this hospital to anybody.
