Hornby's Pavilion Restaurant, Mumbai is located in one of the famous and most visited areas in Mumbai. It does not have an individual place but is located in one of the best 7-star hotels in Mumbai and also in India- the ITC Grand Central Sheraton & Towers. It is a 24 hours café and is open throughout the day for anyone. Almost every International or 7-star hotel has this kind of facility. The cost of an average meal at Hornby's Pavilion Restaurant, Mumbai is around Rs. 1100. The Hornby's Pavilion Restaurant, Mumbai gives a feeling of open space and warmth and coziness in the restaurant. It provides various delicacies in beverages as well as drinks. The beverages include coffee from freshly crushed coffee beans and a variety of teas too.
Here is where I had gone to have dinner with my family and friends on the 26th of November.
Believe me, I saw the hotel in all it’s splendor. Mumbai is the city of luxuries and glitter. But have you anytime tried to analyze what enhances its beauty? Have a look at the ITC Grand Central Sheraton and you will know what I am talking about. It is a 7-star Hotel with class.
It’s THE BEST Hotel situated in the New Hub of the city. It looms out majestically and brightens the city with all its splendor,
We proudly walked into the Hotel and got greeted by a very pleasant young lady who made us feel BIG. I feasted my eyes on the ambiance which was awesome, so spacious, classy comfortable and warm.
Moving further now; towards the Hornby's Pavilion Restaurant.
Through the huge French windows we could see the other areas of the ITC’s splendid display of neon spreading its brilliance into the night skies.
We were greeted and personally escorted to our table for 5. To the right was the buffet spread.
Spread is a mild word for what I did feast my eyes on, Man! It was a spread laid out for a king. I have been to various restaurants in and around Mumbai, but this was something that will stay with me for a long time,
This is what the eyes saw, now let’s see what the taste buds have to say.
Soup was served at the table on request which was Chicken Tomato & egg drop soup'Good' it tickled the taste buds,
Appetite awakened, we now proceeded to the buffet tables. I basically have a good apatite, so I decided to taste a little of every dish laid out. There was Roast Leg of Lamb, Grilled Tenderloin with rosemary Jus, Seared Chicken with cilantro cream sauce, Murgh Khurchan, Ghosh Qulia, Paneer Bemisal, Ghosh Dum Biryani, Mix mushroom in hot garlic sauce, fish, prawns, cocktail prawns and so much more, you mane it, it was there….every variety of salads you could ever think of and the desert table was an invitation to commit a sin of gluttony.
The food was delicious, sumptuously mouthwatering and simply awesome.
I had a strong urge to meet the chief, shake his hand and personally appreciate the spread he laid out,
As I was being introduced to the Chief, we heard news of the attack at Taj and Oberoi. Believe me I was shocked to notice no sign of panic, the Staff conducted themselves with calm composure and no dinner at the restaurant felt need to panic.
We were ushered into a cab which headed back home fully satisfied and with a pleasant taste in our mouths,
