Creative honeymooning... Review on Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd

All 5 couples are cute(I choose to exclude Ranvir-Dia because their track is too insignificant) and sure do get into their characters to a large degree.After Salaam-e-Ishq I felt that again a large starcast would be a disaster but a certain Reema Kagti proved me extremely wrong.Reema who? The director and also the First Assistant Director for Dil Chahta Hai(now I know why Dil Chahta Hai was so cool because along with Farhan he has a great asst.director as well.does count).

The entire idea of a radio show where an RJ plays the role of an omniscient narrator and discusses individual characters, revealing secrets about them and their past is an entire new look to Bollywood which is extremely pleasing.Good in-film marketing for Radio Mirchi BTW.

Performances:

Individually not everyone gets to display their full potential because of the run-time being a mere 2 hrs and many characters to fit in. But on the whole Abhay Deol, Minissha Lamba, Vikram Chatwal were decent.Shabana Azmi, Raima Sen, Sandhya Mridul were damn good.But the best of the lot were Kay Kay Menon, Amisha Patel and Boman Irani.seriously these three must've worked crazily to understand their characters.they're extremely good.Karan Khanna is poor but then he barely has any role.Ranvir Shorey, Arjun Rampal and Dia Mirza are wasted.

Flaws:

1)The entire track between Ranvir-Dia-Arjun looks forced.It was unneeded.

2)The sequence where Abhay-Minissha reveal their true identities to each other was absolutely not called for.

3)Boman Irani is shown to be smoking in an AC bus.

4)Sandhya Mridul's top changes after the first breakfast halt.earlier she's in a blue denim top and later it turns to a yellow coloured one.

5)On two consecutive days in the movie Kay Kay wears the same shirt whereas every other person changes clothes everyday(The purple checked shirt).

Good scenes:

1)Meow-Bow scene between Abhay-Minissha(captured in a cute manner).

2)Kay Kay Menon's dance.

3)Scene with Boman Irani and his daughter(very sensitively handled).

4)Scene with Vikram and Sandhya where he reveals his secret.

5)Abhay-Minissha's dance sequence.well choreographed and they share excellent chemistry.

6)The scene where Raima Sen goes Para-Sailing.

7)The climax where Shabana talks to the driver of the bus.(Shabana at her best).

Cinematography is good but then Goa is a beautiful place.I loved the choreography for'Sajnaji Vari Vari' and'Pyar Ki Yeh Kahaani'.'Pyar Ki Yeh Kahaani' infact shows immense chemistry between Abhay and Minissha.Costumes by Arjun Bhasin and dialogue by Anurag Kashyap are excellent.Infact except for individual performances I think dialogues are really to look for.And I bet Arjun Bhasin worked a lot for Amisha Patel's costumes to try and make her look as'Pinky' as possible.

My verdict:If you want to have a completely creative look at Honeymooning this is just the movie to watch.Excellent characters matched with good performances all in the hands of a very promising director make Honeymoon Travels Pvt.Ltd. an unforgettable journey.
