Huh! I thought this one is perfect. But ... it needs minimal improvements. My world was only Hero Puch. I read lotsa reviewes before going for Unicorn. You can really enjoy riding in a long stretch without signal or traffic congestion. Sadly it is a dream in b'lore. Anyways, for me getting to neutral is kinda tough (1 down, 4 up gears).
It troubles a bit. Probably experienced bikies may not agree. Other than that, few goods things are :
Vehicle is smooth.
Fantastic hummiing sound
Few things which needs improvement are :
Electric start (this is very very much needed in b'lore traffic). Seems they are coing up with it in late feb.
Fuel meter never showed correct reading. I put 2-1/2 litres, one of friend put 5 litres to his bike. The meter needle never came out of red. Bad! Bad!!
There is a pocket sized space below the seat to keep tool box. Guess how to open the seat !?! First open the lock kept just below the pillion rider's seat, then go to rear end of vehicle. lift and start pulling the seat. Alas, it gets completely detached from vehicle !! If anybody looks at you. First thing they ask is, ''Are you a scooter mechanic ?'' :(( what a waste design and worst technique.
Handle for holding for pillion rider is not round shaped. It is a flat one. This is another big flaw. You need palm of a dinosaur to hold, you feel the difficulty while putting the stand.
Petrol tank design is not really good. Don't get carried away by looking at bikes picture. You have to see it actually to know how bulky it looks.
Cap for petrol tank is another mess. YOu open the lock. Entire cap comes out :(( Very very old design like Luna cap.
Number plate is not part of base model !! you need to pay extra for it.
Total on road cost with accessories came to 58K
I am sure Honda will correct these small things in future models. If you can wait until then.... well and good. Else live with the minor problems.
