Thanks to all, who have provided their reviews in MS on Unicorn and other bikes as well. After having gone thru most of them and from other sources such as friends,  Google, and based on my personal experience I finally coined on Unicorn. Initially I wanted to go for Avenger. But later made up my mind to get Unicorn, the new refined one with mac wheels :).

Following are the salient features Of Unicorn:

  1. Superior Engine.

  2. Better Mileage.

  3. Puncture resist tyres.

  4. Smooth gear shifting.

  5. Low maintenance.

  6. Mono-Suspension (that gives Sports bike look)

  7. Brand name.

The other Auto companies have improved a lot but they are notoriously unreliable. You can check the No of bikes they have produced and how many are there in the market right now.  Pros of this bike would outnumber the Cons. I wish MS would provide more space for giving Pros and Cons fields.

Things that prompted me to buy this bike:

  1. it’s definitely superior to other 150cc bikes. I drove Pulsar, 2 year old one which had hard clutch problem. None of my friends who owned a Pulsar recommended me to buy 1. But 1 with Unicorn did with confidence.

  2. Other Bike manufacturers were notorious of introducing and stopping production within no time. What about Pulsar 200cc it's not heard r seen any more.

3.After owning Splendor, a HH product for 7 years all I wanted to have is pure and 100% Honda Engine. Just image if Honda in collaboration with Hero could do this then what about pure Honda Make!!

  1. Reviews from MS.

  2. Mac Wheels.

  3. Improved  headlamp.

  4. Puncture resist tyres.

Things that prompted me not to go for any other bike:

  1. Other bike  manufacturers are unreliable.

  2. Performance of the other bikes is not at all satisfactory.

  3. Low fuel efficiency.

  4. Substandard engines.

What this bike still lacks?

1)     Side stand indicator.

2)     Handle balancing or extension bars which Bajaj bikes have. Not required but would be an enhancement.

3)     Headlamp can be improved a bit further.

4)     Better resistance to strong wind.

5)     At times while in first / second gear it slips to neutral.

6)     During morning always had  to start the bike with choke on. Need to check if this is same during summer season.  Any improvement in this would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t feel the need for LCD speedometer or LCD Stop light as electronic gadgets are not so reliable. Conventional one is better.

Things you need to be wary while buying:

1.     Check your bike thoroughly for all sorts of stains r dent marks.

2.     Check all electronic stuff such as indicators and all lights are working properly.

3.     It’s a must to take test drive before you fall in love with that machine.

4.     If anything appears fishy get that clarified or fixed ASAP else showroom guys will not exchange anything be it manufacturing defect / anything done by showroom mechanics/during transport to showroom.

5.     Never get carried away by the brand name or looks of the bike. Always inspect the bike thoroughly all nook and corners before finalizing one.

Good luck for those who want to go for Honda Unicorn and even for those who want to go for any other bike. Drive cautiously and always remember roads are for transportation and not for racing, causing inconvenience to others.
