Hi Guys,

My Honda Unicorn is already 2 months old.. and it has clocked a decent 1800+ KMs. I was one of the guys who booked the bike in the initial few days of launch. I got the bike after 40 days though the tentative delivery promised was 60 days.. Bike was exceptionally good till the 1000+ KMs, Be it Power, pickup, silken smooth drive, amazing handling, mileage(55 in bangalore traffic), etc, etc.

I used to ride it in the range of 40-60 KMPH till the 1st service. After the 1st service, I am pushing it to limits by touching 100+ KMPH Even at 100 KMPH, You will be having great control over the vehicle..

Absolutely Stunning..

But there are some problems which I am experiencing lately..(after 1000+ KM) Apart from Heavy weight and no self starter, I am experiencing a serious problem of Vibrations. Though the Mono suspension is taking care of Road humps & pits very well, Engine vibrations have creeped in. Hands & feet start getting a feel of vibrations once the bike crosses 50+ KMPH in 4th or 5th gears. This is not expected from a HONDA bike.. though many of our indian bikes have similar problem. I even took the bike to service station 2 times. But the problem still persists. I am not sure this is a problem of isolated case or a general one. These vibrations are not huge enough to irritate you but certainly this eliminates the UNICORN advantage over Pulsar.

I considered unicorn over pulsar for its smoothness. But I no longer feel that I took a great decision. Even with this problem, I rate Unicorn pretty high because of its amazing Ride & Handling experience which can hardly be expressed in words.

Regards,

KRIS
