I bought my new honda unicorn bike on nov 4th 2006. The bike is really cool. It has a smooth engine, good mileage, good looks and many more. But the worst thing about the bike is its monosuspension. I have crawled the honda website to see the technology behind the monosuspension. I came to know that honda has made many tests to bring out the mono-suspension which suits indian roads better. But have they suited really.........

The answer is NO. In my 2 year experience of biking I felt back pains many times and this time its servere than any time. If any one rides the bike in a road which is not good, he will surely feel the effect of the monosuspension. It is too hard. I feel like as if I am sitting on a bike without a suspension.

I complained regarding this many times while leaving the bike for service. And this time too I went to the service center with the same problem. But the response what I get is quite unsatisfying. They told that the suspension is in good condition and no need to do any repairs for that.

One more thing is, the monosuspension works well if the person has a good weight or on double riding. My weight is 60 kg.

My question to honda is, is my weight less to honda unicorn's monosuspension. I think yes. But why is honda's R&D department so worst. Why they didn't test the suspension for lesser weight.

The worst thing is I dont even feel the action of suspension while riding. damm it....

Finally I want to conclude that the honda unicorn's monosuspension doesnt fits to indian roads unless it is altered by the design department. Hope I will get a better solution for this.
