'Worst' honda dealer in pune. Review on Honda Unicorn 150 cc

Before I start, let me clarify one thing. the unicorn is an outstanding bike. no issues about the bike. this review is not about Honda unicorn, but about the Honda dealer named 'kothari wheels' situated at wakdewadi in pune. here I go.

dealing with kothari wheels was the worst experience of my life.

i was interested in buying a 150 cc segment bike and hence after a lot of survey I decided to go for the unicorn. the next phase was to finalize a dealer and hence I decided to buy the vehicle from 'kothari wheels' at wakdewadi in pune, as the people there assured me that I would be getting the delivery of the bike in 15-20 days time against full payment in cash, though the waiting period was 2 months when inquired at other dealers across pune. and the assurance was like " kaale patthar ki lakeer" my happiness knew no bounds after this assurance. the very next day a 100% payment was done from my side. before making the payment I requested the sales person there to confirm with the manager about the delivery in 15-20 days. he did the same and gave me a positive response. the payment was done and all paper work completed. now the actual trouble/headache started. and it got worse as days passed.

15 days later I called up at kothari wheels to enquire about the vehicle. result : negative response. they told me that the vehicle has not yet arrived and told me to enquire again after few days. again on day 20 I personally visited the showroom. the sales person who did the booking was least interested in my problem and did not co-operate at all. after running from person to person, the manager there told me to wait for a week more. as days passed I was loosing my cool. finally on day 27 I visited the showroom again. this time the sales person was trying to avoid me. so I had to act tough. I spoke with the manager and again a false assurance was given that the company was shut due to some reasons and there's some delay and the bike would be delivered after 8-9 days. in this whole process I never got a single call from the dealer to keep me updated about the delay. buying a bike was a begging experience for a price of Rs. 67000 approx. almost a month had passed still I never got any call from the dealer. whenever I called the sales person on phone he would never accept my call. so finally after repeated attempts, 1 and half month later I lost my temper and went to the showroom. this time I was not in a mood to listen to any nonsense excuses. the manager was not present and a person filling in for him was there. I met him and told him to return me my money with interest coz now I was in no mood to buy the bike.

After a lot of argument he told me that within 1 hrs time either the bike or the money would be made available. I left the showroom and returned after an hour's time. a guy there erased the name on one of the unicorn in the showroom and wrote my name there. that means someone else would surely have had faced the delay. I finally took the vehicle and left. my hassles dint end there. I was called for the RTO registration the very next day and was told that the process would take just 10-15 mins time. I had took a leave the next day so that once and for all I could finish off the work to get rid of these ill mannered people. when I reached there the next morning the person dealing with the registration work told me that the paperwork is still incomplete, and told me to come next day. again I had to argue with that guy to get the job done. he procured the documents within minutes. I was told to leave the vehicle and collect it in the evening as the RTO inspector would be inspecting the vehicle. if this would have been explained to me before I would have made alternative arrangements while returning home. since I had to leave the vehicle at the showroom, I had to travel by bus for which I was not prepared, mentally.

One of my friend told me that the after sales service is also pathetic. the vehicle is not delivered on time if left for servicing. unnecessary things would add up to your bill. i would never ever recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from kothari wheels. Honda is striving hard to manufacture quality products and dealer here tops the list in providing worst service to the customer.

Problems faced:1. false assurances and fake promises against full payment in cash.2. 3rd class treatment to the customer.3. staff very in-co-operative 4. no timely follow ups 5. Furniture, chairs etc in wear & tear condition 6.insufficient fans and no air conditioning in showroom 7. lack of communication (transparency) and co-ordination among staff etc etc. and the list would just go on.

So all I would say is, if you really want some brain storming sessions and adventure, go ahead and get yourself troubled at KOTHARI WHEELS, safire park galleria, Mumbai pune road, wakdewadi, pune 5.
