Hi all , This is My first review. Well I purchased My Uni in AUG -2007.
After going thru all sort of Reviews about Uni, Pulsar and CBZ Xtreme.
UNI - Ppl recommended bcoz of Mileage, looks, and HONDA tag.
Pulsar- Was nvr recommended bcoz of Gear problems and amount of noise it generates.
Reliability of Pulsar after some yrs is really doubtful. It just looses its smoothness.
CBZ Xtreme - Great Handling, But Mileage was a problem.
Finally it came down to UNI bcoz of its word of mouth Publicity and good reviews.
Very first week problem started with Rains.... In Mumbai This year rains were heavy...
I felt the Brunt when my Bike refused to budge on the shortest of the dist.. It kept stopping every 100 mt. I took it to Nearest authorized service dealer. He somehow did Air filter cleaning and gave me my bike. Still after that Bike used to give jerks in between. Like an engine does wen it receives petrol in installment. After Rains this problem permanently vanished. (god knows what happened)
Came Winter and Cold Morning Jerks again creeped. Same old story of Engine jerks...
Wen the engine gets heated after driving of 15 mins things would turn normal. But at every start first 10 mins of drive is a nightmare.
I asked many UNI bikers, whether they face the similar problem and to my surprise almost all had the same problem :(
Apart from this issues , mileage is really good - 55 KMPL in city Conditions. (Dont know abt Highways). Handling is not so good as it should be , you tend to get a wobbling feeling wen driving at high speeds (above 70 km/hr).
I have Clocked 4500 Kms after 7 mnths of driving now and the Bike has similar problems even now, I dont see them vanishing in near future.
So I would only recommend this Bike To users who can carry an Umbrella for there Bike and have HOT ambience for the Bike to start :)
In Short, Bike is just over hyped Machine.
I would have taken HH Xtreme or HUNK , bcoz in the past my HH bike ( Splendor, Passion) nvr had this COLD engine or Rainy Problems, evn though there Mileage is less but Bikes Produced by HH are Reliable.
