Honda Unicorn 150 cc is a pleasure to ride through the city traffic because of its easy maneuverability and smooth handling. It give me a mileage of more than 55 Kms per litre of Petrol.
Looks wise it was the first bike which got a Honda emblem which makes it looks super cool. I have been running 40Kms daily on this bike for the past 7 years. The maintenance cost could be cheaper but the worst part is the Honda service centers. I had a very bad experience with them - that too twice. The service centers are very ill staffed and not properly managed. The bike is not serviced properly, they do not follow the job card and simply say all things are taken care. Then later you find out that they have not taken any actions as mentioned on the Job card and its too late by then.
They replaced my rear brake kit twice within a span of 6 months, forgot to change the oil twice, never changed the fork oil but billed me for it, jammed by front disk brakes which I discovered after driving the bike myself. Washing the bike is a luxury for them. They only perform air filter cleaning, some greasing and oiling here and there and fool the customers.
I love Honda bikes and would continue to be a ardent fan of Honda. Their spares are really good quality and build to last. The only problem is the service centers and people managing them. I think it is high time Honda starts tightening the nooses and bring in a QA check OR get customer satisfaction survey about their service.
