Unicorn-Smoothest and Fastest. Review on Honda Unicorn 150 cc

Hi guys,

This is the first ever review of an automobile. So, please forgive me if there is any mistake. Today, I went to Lodha Honda, GST Road, Chennai for Unicorn enquiry. Though the response of the salesperson is not up to the mark, I was given a chance for a test ride. I got in to the bike and switched off 1st gear, and released the clutch, believe me there is no exceptional sound, and it was so silent. I was enjoying the ride by changing the gears.

Since it has 5 gears, the change from 5th gear to neutral becomes hard, because the gear box is so soft, that change of gear is unsusceptible. The horn is good, sounds well.

The salesman guy showed me the rear monosuspension, we have three options ----- HARD,SOFT,MEDIUM we can set this according to our need. Since, this is my first bike, I didnt roared up but went only upto 50kmph.

One of the biggest disappointment is that the tail light design. It is a perfect copy of Karizma but here it has only bulb unlike karizma where we have two bulbs so, in unicorn the tail light wont be bright even in night.

Since the bike is in great demand, the dealer told me that it will take atleast one month for delivery. The price is Rs.54,900 On road(Exclusive of accessories).

The tank has been designed nicely for perfect knee rest and the kerb weight is uniformly spread so that you wont feel it is too weight. But the bike looks too huge by appearance.

The thing is that if the engine stops unexpected on road, then there is nothing to worry, you can kick start it by applying clutch. The kick start is not too hard as Pulsar. The speed doesnot increase all of a sudden, but it gradually increases.

The greatest disappointment with dealer is that they told that we dont have any choice to select one from a bunch and we will be given one by them according to the colour we have specified at the time of booking. At the time of booking, the initial payment is Rs.1000 and rest must be paid on date of delivery.
