Hi there,

I have been carefully collecting info about the Unicorn and finally I had the opportunity to see the machine in flesh-n-blood on 26 Sep '04. The dealer near MEPZ area, Chennai has got its load, I assume.

After all the hype unto the launch of the bike, I was a bit disappointed having throughly checked the bike from close quarters (well, I didnt ask for a test ride, as the bikes were just unloaded). Yeah, I saw the ''mono'' suspension, the wind125-like fairing, and all other info written by fellow reviewers. Well, its not ''the best design yet'' in its category. It is sleek nevertheless.

In Car & Bike show on NDTV, it was called Pulsar Beta (in lighter vein, of course. As we call in I.T. industry, beta is a prior version of the final release, so, it can't be called Pulsar Beta). The point is, it is not a radically new design.

Having said all these, I am confident that the engine, the handling of the bike, puncture resistant tyres, all will have impact on the sales. I have asked for a test ride through honda's website and awaiting my turn. Lets see if it lives up to its reputation.

For now,

Ramkishen

I will be happy if you post your comments on this review

(One last comment: a guy who was having a glance at the machine was confused if the mono shock is really better than the twin shocks. He was asking if it will be balancing perfectly on turns)
