Owning black uni for 2 months, previously TVS victor for 6 years. I will not write about technical specifications as plenty of detail is available on website. I would like to comment from a layman view.

My needs - Big sized bike, above average power, decent economy, digital equipments and time tested performance

My options were - Bullet 350, Pulsar, FZ, Fazer, Suzuki, Extreme, Unicorn (all 150 cc)

I chose the Unicorn as it matched with all the above needs, except for non-sporty look and no digital equipment. My main criteria was engine smoothness which I found best. It is pure pleasure to release the throttle and feel the silent powerful performance of the engine. Its heavy weight gives a sense of stability to tall guys with enough knee space (my earlier tvs victor was too small for me).

The black uni looks devilishly suave. Although the styling is commuterish, the bike overall looks gleamy. I fitted a new pair of Roots horn which complimented the size of the bike, (i discarded the standard puny horn as it sounded as if a lion were making catty meows). I also made a change in the toe gear to heel and toe shift as I didnt want to spoil my costly shoes. Although I was fascinated by the bullet, the poor economy and diligent maintenance reqd put me off. The pulsar looks good but it stops there (I never heard anything good in quality about it). I currently have 45 km/l on my bike with riding average speed of 50 to 60 km/hr. I ride very smoothly and this economy is under city conditions. so I expect it to be around 50 on highways. Another thing is ladies will find the back seat reasonably comfortable.

Last but not the least, I know I will get a good secondhand price whenever I want to sell it off due to the excellent impression it has (same like the hero honda splendor). I am riding the uni for the past 2 months, and always got appreciation for owning this bike.
