I'm a regular visitor of mouthshut. i've read all the posts under the unicorn thread and also commented on a few occasions. it was my dream to own a honda unicorn. my dream came true on this 30th of june:) I was very sure about honda's technological expertise from day one, and the unicorn is an example which proves it. I love the butter smooth engine and the gearbox... at times you really feel you are not riding but you've got wings to fly...:-)

I appreciate the mono shock technology, the tuff up tube, the seating posture, the masculine fuel tank, everything is just stunning. it's so comfortable that you can ride it for hours at a stretch... the only problem i've found is with the seat... it's very hard hence you might have a painful buttock if you are on a long ride:( i've got a space silver (KSPJ), 4th generation unicorn. the newly introduced end weights at the handle bars look simply sexy...:-) the average I got was a stunning 64kmpl on the highway... amazing isn't it? my bike has run only 400kms. I don't cross 55kmph and 4000 rpm mark since my bike is still in the run- in period. the quality of the engine and the gearbox is very good. i'll suggest everyone to go for honda.... go get your wings to fly:-)

25th april 2009.

friends i've completed 10, 000kms.... and it's time to update this review...! even now I can claim it with confidence that this is the best commuter bike in it's segment. after my 4th service i'm getting a constant mileage of 57-59kmpl. the bike got even smoother after all it's servicings... since I primarily ride it without a pillion so I have adjusted the shocks to SOFT setting. the disc brake is very very good... in the sense that it does allow you to manipulate it according to the intensity of braking required, that means if I want a gradual stop i'll brake gradually but in emergency situation it can be stopped at a very short distance too... such technologies are rare in bajaj 2 wheelers. A few things I would like to share..... first, always wear a helmet. secondly, if you want to get a good mileage don't give sudden bursts of throttle and change gears between 3000- 4000rpm. keep your vehicle's speed below 60kmph. don't drive around your city using only half clutch.... it'll damage your clutch plates. one prime reason for chain slackness is sudden burst of throttles.... avoid it. go get your wings to fly.
