'm from Cochin. I have purchased my shine (with alloy wheels, self start and disc brake) on 10th Sep 2007. Now it has covered around 23, 000 kms.

LOW MILEAGE*

During the time of purchase, there was some problem with the smooth running of the engine. always it gets off when I release accelerator. Till 5th Service they didn't rectified the carburetor and just adjusting the slow speed. during that time vehicles mileage was so poor and reached as low as 43kmpl. After my frequent complaint in the service centre and sending a complaint to the Honda customer care, they checked and found out that the problem is with the carburetor. Now the vehicle is delivering a constant mileage of 54kmpl even if company says 65kmpl. (My usual riding is through the high way).

From mine and others' experience I found that this vehicle will not deliver the mileage of 65kmpl that company promises. Every one are getting an average of 55kmpl only.

RIDING COMFORT

When we rides in a speed of 50kmph from the engine sound we feels that it is now moving in a speed more than that. We will really wish whether it would have a 5th gear. When compared with a Yamaha Gladiator, Shine's suspensions and Shock absobers are not that much soft.

*STEBILITY

Its stebility is not that much good. When we are riding in a speed of 50kmph, it is not that much easy to turn the vehicle just like that. We feels that it going out of control. (Amoung the vehicles that I've driven Yamaha Gladiatorhas got very good stability. We can easily take the vehicle in any any direction in any speed. The vehicle will balance itsown).

*BREAKS

*Its breaks are very soft. So it may be slightly disappointing when we are required for a quick stop.

*LOOKS

*The only good feature in this bike is its looks.

*DO I RECOMMENT THIS BIKE TO MY FRIENDS

Never.* I'll never recommend this bike to my friends. I recommend Yamaha Gladiator. Because according to my advice 2 of my friends have taken Yamaha Gladiator and they are getting a very good mileage of 70kmpl at a speed of 60+ kmph. It has got 5 speed gears. Its engineering design has got a feature of self stebility. We can take the vehicle through any sharp turns with out any fear and the vehicle will get stebilised its own after the turn. Its design is something like Royal Enfield, because we feels the whole weight of the whole vehicle is assigned at the bottom part of the vehicle.

Another choice is Honda Unicon. This vehicle is delivering the mileage that the company promises. 60kmpl.

WHY I SELECTED THIS BIKE*

Before purchasing my Honda Shine, I inquired with many of my friends and most of them recommended Honda Unicon and as a budget class vehicle, they recommended Honda Shine. But I don't know why, my bike is not giving me the performance according to my expectations. (The friends who recommended this bike were not Honda Shine users).
