I have been using Honda shine from past 4 years. I have completed 17000Km with the bike.
Following are key pros and cons which I have observed during my experience. Please note am not a bike enthusiastic but an average speed rider.
Pros:
1.Consistent mileage of 55kmpl in Bangalore city mostly driven at peak traffic hours.
2.Low maintenance cost. After free services I give it for service every 3000KM. Service cost has never crossed 1000rs till date which includes oil change as well.
3.Robust body as compared to other bikes in same segment.
4.Smooth ride quality(including noise).
5.Highly reliable. Never given any problems during any journey.(touch wood:)
Cons:
1.Tyre seems to be bit slim. Due to which there is high tendency of skid in muddy roads.
2.At higher speeds above 60 the bike seems to vibrate and noise levels increase.
Overall:
Recommended for an average city driver who is mileage conscious and who wants to use the bike on daily basis without much speeding.
