I purchased this bike on April 21, 2007. Up to now I ride 5000KM. Maillage is 58-60.
It has good pickup, In 4th gear we can go up to 22kmph minimum speed, it avoids frequently gear chane in heavy trafics.
Regarding Engine it is smooth in following speed limit.
Ist gear-0 to 10 kmph
2nd gear-10 to 24 kmph
3rd gear -24 to 35 kmph
4 th gear-35 to 50 kmph.
Main Important thing is above 50 kmph, some abnormal sound is coming, by hearing this type sound you are unble to increase speed even road is good because of uneven noise in engine.
I dont know about all 125 CC whether they are giving this type of sound is giving or not.
Regarding gear shifting.
While increasing gears like 1 to2, 2 to 3 and 3to4 it is o.k., but while reducing speed from gear 4 to 3, 3 to 2, 2 to 1 high intensity metal to metal contact sound is coming even gear shifting had take place in permissible speed limit.
Lack of 5th gera is big minus point for Honda shine.
I think it is better to incorporate 5th gear, avoid gear shifting problem, above 50 uneven noise in coming versions.
