Overview
Honda Livo comes with a familiar design, matching few elements to the previous available bikes in the Honda's list. The bike has been planned for the first time buyers in the entry level segment, who wish to add the style statement to their economical approach.
Design and Style
Livo comes with an attractive design, matching to the CB Twister from the front and CB Unicorn from the side. It features the iconic Honda logo on the extended cowl near the tank, with sharp edges all over the body. The tank looks muscular and the rear seems very smart for the motorcycle in the entry level segment. The bike comes with a more aggressive headlight cluster than others in the segment, making it a good choice for young buyers. The suspension has been kept Red as it came in the Twister, with a shortened exhaust for more attractive design. It comes with standard Black alloy wheels.
Instrument Console
Livo features a totally different design for the console as the shape of the enclosing boundary makes a hexagonal arrangement and that too twice, in a mirror effect. The console stays totally Anasultanlogue and lacks tachometer, which is generally not available in bikes below 150 cc. The average looking console has been named as out of the box console by Honda. Left has the speedometer and odometer whereas the right has fuel gauge and Livo badge inside it.
Engine and Performance
The engine comes out to be the same as the older Honda 110 offerings. The 109.19 cc engine produces 8.2 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.63 NM @ 5500 rpm. The bike comes with a 4-speed manual transmission, making it to a top speed of 86 kmph. The mileage being returned is Honda claimed 74 kmpl, which it Cred824its to the HET. Being 180 mm high from the ground, the bike is perfect for Indian road conditions. The fuel tank capacity is 8.5 litres, which would easily make the bike run 550 km on a single refilling.
Brakes and Suspension
The bike comes with an optional disc brake for the front wheel. The rear in both the variants has a drum brake, measuring 130 mm. The disc brake measures 240 mm. The bike skips on the combination braking system of Honda. The tyres on both ends are 80/100-18.
The suspension work is handled by telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic at the rear, which has been painted Red for a sporty look. The bike will have an average braking power, with a very comfortable ride due to its upright seating position and reasonable seat height.
Variants and Shades
The Honda Livo comes in 2 variants. One with disc brake and 2nd one is available without disc brake. Both the variants come with self-start and Black alloys as standard. The shades available in the Livo are Athletic Blue Metallic, Sunset Brown Metallic, Pearl Amazing White and Black. Honda recently introduced 2 new shades: Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic
Ex-showroom Price
The disc brake version of Livo gets a price at INR 56, 000 whereas the drum brake variant costs INR 53, 500. The prices have been kept a bit high as compared to the segment bikes, but with Honda's nhassurance, fans won't worry about spending some extra rupees.
