Just test drove the New Honda Jazz yesterday. Firstly, was absolutely shocked that the dealers were not informed about the prices till 5 in the evening. Secondly, the dealer told me that Jazz is available in one variant only whereas the official Honda site says that is available in 3 variants.

Coming to the car, yes it is quite spacious to be termed as a small car. And frankly has too many cubbyholes, which became a bit annoying, again this is a personal opinion. The first thing I noticed was that the Car, with its exhorbitant price, does not have something as basic as mudflaps & the dealer thought that just because its a Honda they can get away with everything. Further, no alloy wheels, which again are sold as accessory by the dealers. The Music system has an Aux port but no USB port & the dealer had the cheek to tell me to buy an Aux/USB converter.

I drove the car, and as a typical Honda it was quite peppy. But the ground clearance (160mm) is a bit low for our roads and sure to brush many a speed breakers. Coming to the main point, the price. The base model would cost 8.25 L on road in Mumbai, which is toooooooo expensive even for a Honda product. And even after paying this amount one would have to shell out extra for Alloy wheels, Mud Flaps etc, doesnt make sense. Somehow I think this car would be bought only as a snob value as it is just not worth the price that Honda is asking for.
