Honda, a name which comes with the tag of a quality. This is my 5th year using this Honda Jazz(petrol). When I was about to choose a hatchback out of so many options then, my 6th option of visiting Honda dealership and a test drive had really won the battle. It was about the experience that these guys give you about their service, customer satisfaction however your decision will be impressed mostly by the car's comfort, noise, vibration and above all its appearance. The complete folding of rear seat was an additional surprise we got which was not present in any of the other cars.
I am completely satisfied with the car's reliability(low maintenance), low servicing cost and better fuel economy. Even after 4.5 years, I still feel that I made a right choice by going ahead with this car. I have driven my vehicle for a non-stop stretch of more than 350 Kms and never had a feeling of discomfort. Car's music system is amazing and you really feel the difference compared to other cars(may be the best in class NVH of car helps in achieving it).
I am getting an average fuel economy of 16 Kmpl in City and 18 Kmpl on highways.
Although it is one of the best car, do not expect to have a great drivability from this vehicle. In overtaking conditions and on ghat uphills, I feel that the car doesn't respond well for the acceleration even through the throttle is pressed for full. You need to shift one gear down to make the car's engine breathing comfortably. Another significant observation I had was the least use of fourth gear. At times when I need to overtake or accelerate by shifting the gear down from 5th to 4th, I feel that it won't give a feeling of change in gear(equal or lower acceleration instead of increased one)
The issues I faced till now are as listed below:
1) Because the rear seat is flexible, there was a serious chirping noise observed when car passes over the rough road. It becomes much more significant when you are driving with all windows closed. The bad part was one of your friend sitting in the car for first time and pointing out the noise. The issue was resolved after 3 successive visits to service station by putting some packing material between seat leg and the floor lock.
2) The fuel gauge has some mystery in this car. If you do not visit the pump before the gauge pointer touches letter'E' it won't comes back unless you fill the tank for at least Rs 1000(you can convert into liters)
3) The left side pillar, near windscreen glass, makes noise when car goes over a rough patch
4) The MRF tires found with tiny cracks all over the side portion. All tires were replaced by the dealer with difference money of worn out rubber.
All above issues were well taken by the service station of Honda however few of them were not expected when you pay such a price for the brand.
Overall I am very much satisfied with this car and I may not sell it in near future. I recommend my friends and family to go ahead in buying it.
