The top end variant VX costs around 10 lacs. A bit pricey but looking at the segment in which it comes( premium hatchback) , the space and specs its totally worth it. The design is totally new when compared to the older jazz. Looks very sharp and mean. Front grill comes with glossy black piano finish and merges into the swept back headlights beautifully.
The shoulder lines run across the length of the car and are better visible in the darker shades( I have the maroon one) than in the lighter ones. Rear too is very fresh and impressive. Chunky LED tail lamps are connected to the roof with the reflectors. VX comes with a spoiler at the end which gives a sporty look. And next to it is an AM/FM antenna. 15 inch Alloy wheels are new and look good.
Diamond cut alloys would have been better though. Just like outside the cabin also is full of all new to the segment features and creature comforts. Starting with the steering. Adjustable just for rack not the reach. Comes with steering mounted controls like audio, volume, source, phone call, etc. VX variant gets a 6.2inch touch screen audio video navigation( AVN) system. Other variants come with 5.9 inch with audio video unit with no navigation system. The interface is a bit outdated and lags a bit but overall it is okay. Navigation is accurate. Sound of the built in speakers is good. The central console is First-In-Class touch control type for ac and other modes. Fan is a bit noisy at high speeds but is efficient. Jazz's cabin is surprisingly spacious with lots and lots of cup holes. Glovebox is not cooled but a cup holder next to the ac vent on drivers side solves the problem. Even with the seats moved backwards thers is enough amount of legroom for rear sear passengers. Three adults can be easily accomodated on the rear seat. VX comes with another exclusive feature that is magic seats. It gives you greater seating options to store your stuff. Boot space is whooping 354 ltrs. 2nd best after maruti balenos 359ltrs. Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 27.6kmpl for idtec models. I got upto 24 on highways and easily get 18-20 in city traffic. Simply love honda jazz and am proud of it.
