This review does not talk about technical specification, colour options which you can get in web and Honda Bike websites. It’s an review about the test drive experience, and the customer service.

Being owned RE T. Bird previously, I wanted to avoid RE brand this time. So the choice were between Jawa, Benelli Imperial and RE Meteor. I had unicorn previously, and you can read my review, being the one of the reliable brands, I did not hesitate and went ahead to Honda Big Wig showroom in Kukatpally Y Junction. Honda is not known for best of the customer service, but I was surprised the way they were receiving the enquiries, and conducting themselves with potential buyers. They have answered all the questions with patience(of course I have done my homework about the bike I had in my which is CB 350 Highness). Only the colour was something which me and my family wanted to decide after checking the variants in the showroom.

There were primarily three choice that was available, one that is standard, other with premium look of dual tone colours. Third option was their first anniversary addition. I will come back what I booked later, first with experience of test drive.

They offered the test ride bike, and allowed my wife to be pillion rider(as we parked our car at their showroom:)). The ride was super smooth, even for test ride bike. We got opportunity to ride the bike, both in traffic conditions and free stretch of road. This bike behaved nicely in both conditions. The acceleration was linear and once you accelerate, it picks up speed with ease. I am 5ft 5' for my height the seating was comfortable, the bike was easy to navigate, in traffic. Once you hit a free road, you can cruise up to 100kmph and beyond with ease, but I do like to cruise around 80-90 which I did. One thing that I observe is the gear ratio is very tall, and once you put up 4th gear the bike touch 100kmph, and I was not sure why there was a 5th gear which do not generate any further torque. It is kind of dummy gear if you ask him, put on it after(say 60) and you can cruise on it till you empty your tank.

Pros:

1) Honda reliability

2) handling in traffic

3) zero vibrations for the bike which is 350 cc engine.

4) safety feature(which includes rudimentary traction control)

5) good stability up to 100-120 on road.

6) Milage(which is not that I look at for a 350 cc bike but it gives 35+ which I observed in my bake)

Cons:

1) Honda spare parts,

2) take it or leave it attitude which I am seeing since Unicorn days

3) The bike is heavier toward front, which means when you have to do tight U turn, you will have to spend some energy, and use your skill

4) very less options which it comes to servicing as not all Honda bike shops offer this, and you need to get it done at only the Bigwig shops which might be difficulty in some cities where there are either few of them far of or none at all.
