I did buy (financed) honda eterno scooter by mistake, believing the Legendary Reliability of HONDA . . . . . . when it was launched. Hardly few days had elapsed, when all the euphoria and elation faded out in the oblivion when the list of problems, detailed below, started persistently stretching like anything –
I hope this is the WORST MASTERPIECE manufactured ever by Honda and I am the only frustrated customer. I am really surprised to experience this wonderful machine….”A HONDA PRODUCT” !! I would like to give the full credit to Mr. Haruo Takiguchi, and his team of greats…..who created this masterpiece. I think this is not a scooter...this is a "JUGAAR". This scooter is the worst experience of my lifetime. It became a Headache, instead of helping us. I wish no one on earth have this kind of an experience.
The scooter consumes complete engine oil within 300 Kms. There is a very heavy and thick white smoke through the silencer. The smoke is so wonderful and smells so nice, that it can kill the healthiest people within minutes (but you can rule the road……..as no one dares to come in your way when this wonderful machine is out. . . Also the scooter can be offered on lease to kill mosquitoes of the whole city………. Just brilliant ! ! ). Engine oil keeps dropping from the silencer and sprays engine oil on whole rear part of the scooter and the floor (please see the photographs).
Also there is self shifting of the gears and MANY KINDS OF NOISES IN THE ENGINE. It had a major hick-up in the gears within two months since I buy this scooter.
There is a Heavy Vibration in the handle bar of the scooter, which is a manufacturing defect in all the scooters. Scooter starts vibrating a lot at low speeds or in city conditions, which is due to unbalanced structure system of the scooter. You feel like sitting on a vibrator after few minutes drive.
The engine has been opened 4 times within 6 months since I buy it, 2 times by dealer's mechanic and 2 times by service engineer representing the company. They failed to fix the problem. The dealer harassed us beyond the limits, like we were his biggest enemies (we got so much respect there, that we’ll think a million times, even if offered water by Honda). I wrote and also called to service department at Honda’s manesar plant, but nothing happened !. The scooter is standing for the last 2 years and is driven only 5100 Km.
Honda has the corporate philosophy of 4 S’s.

But now, I strongly believe that Honda is only concerned with the first “S” i.e. SALE. Other three does not exist in Honda’s dictionary. There policies are only to attract customers by making false claims.
All the passion that I had for HONDA……..has GONE WITH THE WIND.
A JUNK DEALER is ready to pay 3000 Rs By weight of the SCRAP.
There is nothing left in a vehicle when all ENGINE, GEAR & CHASIS are having manufacturing defects.
