In 2004 I firstly saw dio ;at first time I feel it somewhat odd due to headlight placing on body panel , not on handlebar but after some days I feel it very attractive & immediately booked one in December 2004 & got the delivery after one week which is somewhat painful since they have 100 dios in stock but says no dio is available DEALERS REALLY SUCKS


Finally I got my hand on dio on 12 DEC 2004. About the dio, the India's first motoscooter having 102.7 cc engine which is very refined but lacks best metal quality(e.g inlet & exhaust valves, cam shaft etc) but while buying you cant predict these things, same in my case I just seen dio & bought it .


Up to 5000 km it doesn't have any problem afterwards it shows you its quality on 3rd free service I have to change the clutch weights which costs Rs 800 , battery got problems that is no button starts at morning , panels get loosen by themselves , front shock absorbers are no longer shock absorber say shock giver !!,


I changed both the tires at 25600 km with the CEAT NEO instead of MRF for good ride , the tuf-up tubes worked well without any puncture up to tire change after that I changed with new tuf up tube the headlight beam is very weak due to no halogen bulb


when the dio was new it gives fuel efficiency of 55 kmpl after 10000km it reduced to 40 kmpl. recentely I changed the inlet & exhaust valves, piston rings & tuned the carburettor for better fuel efficiency .FE goes to 45 kmpl for further improvement in FE I changed the stock air filter with the K&N high flow air filter ;to my surprise it is now giving 55 kmpl mileage which is decent in city & 50 kmpl on highway due to riding above 70 kmpl speed. If you are college champ then go for DIO it is fun to drive from college to home or elsewhere

The ceat neo tires dont last for more than 20, 000km changed it to again with MRF zapper


costed 2200 for two tires without tubes
