Likes:

Dislikes:

1. General / free maintenance from dealer workshop is useless. Seasoned street side mechanics have done a better job at adjusting pickup and mileage by adjusting tappets correctly.

   
   




2. If the tyre pressure is below prescribed norms, the balance of the vehicle is very poor unlike in other scooters / two wheelers. Pressure has been lower by about 3-4 psi's. (Checked with own Bridgestone gauge)

   
   




3. Self starter gets stuck if unused for two days. After a kick start, for the next two days, the self starter seems to work normal. But this has been a repetitive issue.

   
   




4. Lot of shuddering from the front boxes including the piece of fiber on top of the head lamp.

   
   




5. When accelerating there is gap in pickup that cannot seem to be fixed. Seems that we have to live with it.

   
   




6. Front shocks are very bad. Bad design. Scooter bounces a lot even when in small potholes.

   
   

Risks:

1. Pothole driving. Pillion driver may fall off the scooter.

   
   




2. Rear braking in emergency. Braking is in-effective without using front brakes.

   
   




3. Ensure the tyre pressures are good. Low tyre pressure gives bad balance. Not useful by older people driving it.

   
   

We bought this scooter to substituting car's usage for small tasks/ chores. Myself being a car enthusiast did'nt care much about small engine performance and even if it did would'nt be worth discussing it. Here are my two cents:

1. Realized it to be a good piece of machine that increases your radius of operation without compromising comfort than expected; being a regular car user. Excellent for city trips. Comfortable with its balance, ease of maneuvering in thin lanes & spaceless signals and power to weight ratio needs no second thought as a first choice of use in city.

   
   




2. Pick up / torque is excellent for its capacity. Good feel of consistency when the engine feels lighter at a good cruising speed of anything between 40-60. Good engineering at the automatic gear transmission.

   
   




3. Seating is comfortable. No back ache problems. I have cervical spondolosis but am very comfortable with it. Infact, if you sit straight in natural back curve, the shocks don't get you. Good ergo design I guess.

   
   




4. Mileage comes to 45.8kmpl. It covered 275km for full last drop use 6 litres of petrol. Should increase after its staged service. Not a bad expectation. I don't see it going above 53/55 kmpl.

   
   




5. Front Suspension could have been better cushionable using telescopic.

   
   




6. Am amazed that people wait for 2 months for a Activa delivery. Not to mention selling in black. There is NO technical difference between them except Activa is 20 kilos heavier. Neither its ground clearance nor its seating height. Thinking and feeling so is only a stale excuse to oneself.

   
   




7. Very poor customer positioning with accessories. Poor quality of accesories. More over nothing is free. Head lamp is a looser. It takes just 100 bucks to put in a halogen and a signal beeper. And a sick pride that "nothing's free".

   
   




8. Rear brake seemed a little unresponsive no matter how tighter the drive belts or retardation is. A brake has to simply stop a vehicle. Front brakes does the job better.

   
   




9. Very bad customer understanding by dealership. After all these are scooters. Bad pride undersells. This is a shame Autofin, Hyd.

   
   




10. The product has out performed by expectation. The human part of this whole deal from the dealers need to be fixed. Honda, you listening?
