After reading all the pros and cons of Dio on mouthshut.com I finally decided to purchase the Dio. I got it delivered today and I love the looks. I opted for the Black model. The dual tone body colour looks refreshing to the eye after looking at Activas all around you.
The first day of riding and handling was good. But I found the pickup and acceleration not up to the mark. Though the engine is same as the Activa, reviews suggest that the Dio has better acceleration due to a lighter body. I might need to get this checked with my dealer. The noise of the engine is also pleasant to the ear. The bike does not vibrate either. I will be keeping an eye on the mileage as this is the main reason I opted for the Dio instead of the Activa.
Is the pickup and acceleration low due to the fact that its a brand new engine? Dio owners should know this better. I will also have this checked at the service center too.
