HONDA DIO. Review on Honda Dio

I just bought the Honda Dio because of Honda's globally tested 4 stroke technology,

Wedge shaped form

• The motoscooter feel is expressed in its sleek, aerodynamic, wedge design, this however looks a bit odd at the back resembling the Bajaj sapphire

• The body mounted head light adds a distinctive touch to the scooter's front appearance

Fibre body

The light weight of the body further enhances the fuel economy and riding pleasure as compare to the Activa

Flush surface and multi-reflector light

The smoothly curved surface multi-reflector headlight integrates perfectly with the front cover

Reflectors convert light produced by a 35W bulb into a strong beam

Elegantly designed indicators match the headlight design and are easier to see

Though Honda claims that the seat is Low positioned it is not in comparison with some other bikes in the same range, this could caue some discomfort specially when moving in city traffic

The highest ground clearance in its class at 145mm from the road surface

Sufficient ground clearance to ride smoothly on bad roads and speed brakers

Long front suspension

• The front suspension offers a long stroke

• Effective shock absorption maintains superb riding comfort and allows a pleasing ride even on bad roads

• Offers better front/rear balance even when carrying a passenger. Stays balanced even during emergency braking

Comfortable, secure seat

There is no foot room as compared to the kinetic, also the hook is positioned to low to the footboard

New tyres provide Solid road grip and lively riding performance, however there is no possiblity of having a spare tire, could be a real problem while travelling very long distances,

Convenient Lift Up Independent Cover for enhanced ease of maintenance

Maintenance and repair can be performed easily and hence it's faster, by opening the rear body cover that can be quickly removed as well. Spark plug inspection, cleaning, and replacement can be completed in just few minutes, while refilling the oil takes just 2-3 minutes. The air filter is also easy to clean and can be done within 10 minutes.

Fuel mileage of DIO is around 47 kmpl in city conditions.
