Yes you heard the title right, honda civic rocks with Green fuel; I'm very glad to share this info with all of you there, I bought this car last year and was madly in love with it, almost I took 10 months to come out of the hangover of this car to realise my fuel expenses were shooting up; its then on one Sunday evening I gave a thought on conversion.
Trust me, my heart never allowed me to even think on that; its was my mind which supported my thoughts and took courage to dial just dial to get details of conversion dealers.Finally with my simple review of two vendors, I closed on one to spend around Rs 48k to get my civic operated and double confirmation from him on no power loss and with little customization. Even on the day when I handed over the keys of my car to take it for conversion there was a thought to cancel all about this conversion and stay with hard fuel(petrol).
But somehow the vendor convinced and took the car and he gave the car around 10:30 pm in the night as I was waiting to see my car, first look on exterior to see if there were any changes, I thanked god as there was no change in exterior and then straight to the boot space which was little disappointed as 40% of the space in the boot was taken by the gas storage tank (60 lt).
Then I entered the car with a skeptical mind and on other side praying started my car, I didn't find any difference when I punched it and started driving still no difference, I took out for long road to check the pickup and power delivery (BTW mine is an automatic) I was not convinced whether I was running on petrol or gas.
It took some time when he switched between fuel and gas but still could not find the difference, Well all good heaven I have not found any difference or lag in performance of the car or power delivery against acceleration. Recently I had been to kerala for a long trip covering approximately 1800 km with varied speeds I could achieve around 10.5 km per lt of gas. it was amazing.
Trust me and start saving by using green fuel.!!!
few points to note:
1.Install only sequential injection kit with a good mechanic.
2.whenever you refill the gas; switch off the ac for around ten minutes to avoid the gas smell inside the car.
- sacrifice 40% of your boot space to gain 40% direct saving on fuel bills.
