Hi
I bought a Honda CIVIC 1.8 Automatic(delhi) about 3 days ago and I thought I ough to write a review. First of all with my backgroud, I am an NRI returned to INDIA and I have driven my share of cars abroad.
I was interested in buying a Honda CITY CVT but came across the CIVIC standing at the dealership before it was launched. I admired the looks on the car and Test Drive was just a seal on the deal. Without any effor I took out the gap money b/w City and Civic. The car is a true driving experience with all the features available in Accord and Camry segment. The drive is a butter on the bread and the auto transmission is reliable and effortless.
The silent smooth drive and interiors are the best part of the car, the interior has even blown away the owners of Accord. The digital meters are a bliss to the eyes. The car has the best milage in the segment.
I will recommend any one buying a CITY or ACCORD to check this car out, For CITY owners it does comensate for the extra monry paid and for ACCORD owners it might result you in saving some money and fuel without compromising ANYTHING.
The only negative side to the car is the cheap fabric on the doors and plastic on the floor at entry poing. These will get dirty pretty quickly given the dirt and dust on the roads, consequently on the shoes.
Good Luck!
Addition to the review:
I saw the car in New Zealand on my recent trip ( The version in NZ is the origional Japneese manufactured, since NZ does not has its own car manufacturing)
The car had few extra features, I wonder why these could not be offered in INDIA.
-> the car was structurally the same in exteriors and interiors
-> it had audio controls and cruise control on steering, complimented the look of steering
-> had sun/moon roof and saw a few more colors
-> I saw a car with hybrid tag on its rear, am assuming the car is being offered in Japan in fuel/electricity variant.
Still a gr8 buy :)
