It was a long wait to own this one, was definitely worth.
I test drove the old Honda's with the IDSI engine and was not very impressed with the performance and gave up buying. Then the new City was released with the Ford Fiesta. I drove the Fiesta and was impressed with the driving comfort. Then I test drove the City ZX VTEC was impressed with the smoothness, roominess and performance.
Then 2 to 3 sleepless nights to decide which one to buy. Lots of reading on the net comparing engines and Cars.
Honda and most Japanese Cars makers offer no or very little discounts, still went ahead in favor of the Honda.
In bangalore traffic I get 13.5 kms/ltr, I use speed 91. Pickup and performance and driving comfort is good. Very silent and smooth. It is a big vehicle but steering this is easy. I had a santro before being a 6 footer I used to get pain in the knee joint because of driving in traffic. The hydraulic assisted clutch is a boon.
I have not driven the Vehicle on a long drive yet.
After about One and half months (1000kms) of City driving I feel it is definitely worth the extra 1 lakh or so compared to Fiesta.

Finally had a chance to drive long. Bangalore to Mysore (about 140kms).
Was impressed with the performance of the speed sensitive steering. Can negotiate curves easily at 120 kmph. Beyond 2500 rpm the engine really picks up. I could effortlessly and quickly touch 120kmph from about 60kmph. I drove continuously for about 3 hour’s b/w 60-120 but didn’t feel tired at all. Fuel economy on long drive definitely greater than 15 kms/ltr driving at around 3000 to 3500 rpm. Dealer says that if you drive at a rpm higher than 2500 mileage will reduce.
At low rpm the pick up is slow. I don’t know how the vehicle will do on ghat sections?
Planning another long drive to Munnar or Ooty. Will update this review again.
After using system G with normal unleaded fuel over speed 91 I have seen an improvement in mileage. I just can’t seem to understand this.
