Note: this review pertains to the Gxi variant. Am writing it under this category as there's no separate category for Gxi. Actually, the categorization is pretty wrong. There should be either only one category for City ZX, or as many categories as there are variants*
The Honda City is truly a superb car.
I've had mine for about two years now and the only little complaints I have are:
Low Ground Clearance- which means that the underside sometimes scrapes the many, huge speed breakers that proliferate Bangalore roads, no matter how careful you are
The Angled Windshield side bar that interferes with your view when you're turning
Apart from the above, the car is a treat to have and drive. The Electronic Power Steering is really effortless (when buying, I compared the City to a Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Verna. By comparison, these cars felt like trucks when it came to turning the steering wheel). All other features like power windows, central locking, power mirrors make life really easy.
Reliability wise, the only problem I've had is that in my last servicing, I've been told that I'd soon have to replace my muffler as it was damaged due to scraping road bumps (a fault of the low ground clearance referred to earlier). Apart from that, no complaints whatsoever.
Fuel efficiency is relatively high. In reality, I get about 13+ kmpl in city conditions, with the AC on occasionally. Much higher than the sub-10 figures comparable cars provide.
Suspension is pretty strong - a must for the dirt tracks in Bangalore, we call roads. Ride quality is very comfortable.
Quality of Service is really great. The one dealer I've been going to (Dakshin Honda, Hosur Road) is really responsive and takes customer service quite seriously. All minor issues reported have always been attended to and I've never had the feeling that I've been charged for unnecessary work.
