When we think of buying a car, how many of us think about the safety features in our selected car. Are the safety features luxuries for us?
Please look at the following facts:- "World Health Organization has revealed in its first ever Global Status Report on Road
Safety that more people die in road accidents in India than anywhere else in the world, including the more populous China." 17th Aug, 2009
Many people say that Honda Cars are 1-2 Lakhs costlier than its competitors. Wait a min. do other cars have ABS and Airbags with which you do compare.
Before fixing at the decision of buying a car, I did analysis of all the cars available in entry level sedan in Indian market concluded on following (my personal opinion).
Aveo: Model to be phase out soon. Poor mileage Ford Fiesta: Model to be phase out soon. Poor mileage, High maintenance cost.
Logan: Does not look appealing. Read some bad review about it.
Tata Indigo: Model to be phase out soon. No safety feature for passenger.
Linea: Poor mileage of petrol version, Contemporary design. Extremely poor after sales and service
Needless to say if any one considers the above mentioned factors the choice is obvious. ==> Honda City. I bought Honda City iVtec - SMT variant. I admit that I had to stretch my budget a bit. But I am completely satisfied with my decision.
Like : Looks, Mileage, Power, Comfort, Airbag, ABS
Dislike: No Disk Player, No 6 airbags, Interior could be better
This is the best buy if you have a budget of 8-10 L. Further I would also like to recommend any one who wants to buy a car in the budget of 6-7 L should consider Honda City because it offers you safety features along with other normal features.
Drive of the car is very smooth, shifting of the gears are very easy. Accelerator is very responsive and picks up very fast. When you zoom the car you will really fell the arrow shot experience. Thanks to its aero dynamic design. In the city drive mileage is 12-14 ant at the highway little above than 16 both with AC on.
