Honda city iVTEC is my third car after Maruti 800 and Wagon R.After doing some home work, studing auto journals, & after test drive of few cars I zeroed in on 2 cars – Fiat Linea, & Honda City I Vtec.These 2 cars fits best in my budget of 8-10 lacs.However I was unable to decide which to choose as both were equally attractive.It was then I posted Mobile message in Mouthshut and I got tremendeous response from - Tituhkp, JaveedAhmeedM, bkaks, kbcpatel, Sravan 66, Kanika 22, KS18, Sub2, SRNair, Amitlostinlove, tanish 2 , rockgarden, Vdeepakkumar. I sincerely thank all of you for helping me to decide.
Technical data and other specifications of this car are easily available on net and hence I am just sharing my views & experiences after driving 4500 km.so that it helps other people who are about to buy.
I like the car because :
1) Car runs smoothly and picks up very fast. U can touch 140km/hr easily.
2) Suspension is good enough to take care of small bumps.
3) Very comfortable to drive.In 2 days I drove almost 800 kms & yet not felt tired.
4) Fuel efficiency is good.With normal Petrol in Surat city I am getting 14.5.In highways in normal traffic with no red light & at avg speed I got almost 16.5.
5) Noise level is low. Engine really seems to be silent.
6) Power steering is superb.Taking turn is so easy & smooth
7) Music system is very good.
8) Boot size is very good but boot opening is low.
But there are few things which I dislike :
1) Metal sheet used in body is very thin & highly prone to dents
2) Paint work also not very good.You will notice scratches often.
