Hi, I own a honda cr-v 2011, automatic transmission since february 2011.The suv has loads of storage space. Extremely comfortable for 5 pax.The driving position is spot on and you don't get any aches or pains even after spending long hours behind the steering wheel. Fwd Visibilty from divers seat is very good.
The suv is super stable at high speeds(personally driven upto 150kmph) and grips the roads extremely well. The road noise filters in at high speeds but this is just a minor complaint.
In dash entertainment system with usb/ipod and aux input option with 6 speaker is superb.There are 3 power outlets.so you can power your gps, charge laptop and mobile all at the same time.
The 4*4 system works really well and handles mud, slush and slippery grassy surfaces with ease. The high ground clearance(185mm)is also a boon for Indian roads.you can go over high speed bumps with full load, without having to worry about the underbelly scraping.
The engine is upper smooth and very responsive. Develops adequate power and the vehicle does not feel strained on steep climbs. The intelligent D3 gear in the automatic transmission ensure that your speed is maintained during downhill drive so that you do not have to apply brakes to keep speed in control.
The suv returns a fuel economy of 7 to 8 kmpl in city driving conditions, 6kmpl on uphill climbs and a very respectable 10 to 11 kmpl on the highways. These figures are for the automatic transmission model that I have the figures for manual transmission would surely be+1 to+2 kmpl more.
The service cost is around Rs 3500- 5500 depending on consumables used.
