Around 2 months back I bought this bike from my friend who has gone abroad for Studies. I am 36 years old and had been owning a Pulsar modified to 200 cc with Karizma components. I have posted a review on this earlier. Had always wanted to upgrade to a proper more powerful fully fared sports bike and grabbed this opportunity. Highlights - The biking experience is awesome and have never experienced before. Riding posture is not completely like a sports bike (eg Yamaha R15). So one doesn't have to lean forward much. It is good for touring than racing. I get a mileage of around 30 kmpl in City and around 38 kmpl on highways. Bike has low to medium torque at less than 4000 rpm. But beyond that the bike becomes a devil. So in city one has to keep changing gears. Which is something one has to get used to.

Beyond 5000 rpm the bike shows its true colour. At 6000 rpm speed will be around 100 kmph on 6th gear. And one can comfortably cruise at 120 to 130 kmph. Top speed comes close to 160 kmph. Bike comes with 110/70 R17 tire in front and 140/70 R17 TIRE At the rear. Its equipped with both front and rear disc brakes. Braking is decent. There is an option of ABS also. Suspension is Awesome. It is slightly on the softer side. Think Honda has designed this as a long distance cruiser and not a typical race track bike. For race track in my opinion Yamaha R15 or Honda CBR 15O R should be good. The bike can be compared to Kawasaki Ninja 250. But this one comes with a twin cylinder engine generating almost same torque but more power but at a much high RPM. Ninja would be very good for race track or high speed drives on the highway. Servicing cost is slightly on the higher side. But not too high. Overall - It gives a very good biking experience with around 25 bhp power and 23 Nm torque and good part is it comes at a usable 7000 RPM. Hope this review helps.

---------------------------

Now that I had more long rides done and more experiences with the bike thought of adding those to the review log.

Solo ride from Bangalore to Kanyakumari.

Always wanted to do a solo long ride and when I got the oppurtunity I didnt think twice. Geared myself with riding jackets and proper protection like elbow, shoulder and knee guards and riding boots. Took my shoulder bag with 2 liter hydration pack and set for the ride. It took 7 hours to reach Kanyakumari. I could manage to ride for some time at 150 kmph on free stretches and other wise maintained 120 to 130 kmph comfortably. Had to take only 2 breaks on the 700 km one way trip. Those 2 breaks were fuel breaks coupled with breakfast and chai and a 10 minute walk just to refresh myself. I was completely fresh after the journey. Realized that this is the perfect tourer. I could manage to get a mileage of around 30 kmpl. Brakes are adequate and cruising at 120 to 130kmph is very comfortable for long durations. Wind protection could have been better.
