Please note these comments are subjective based on my experience with various machines.
Thank you! Why did you buy this vehicle? A good compromise to people wanting more power from smaller bikes like honda wave, bajaj wind125 or platina, honda hero, yamaha 100 & 125ccs, etc. I was originally looking for bigger bikes like the bajaj pulsar 180 or the new pulsar 220, but those were not available where i come from.
A kawasaki kr or ssr 150 was a far choice since two-stroke engines are becoming less and less popular in several countries due to emission issues. Describe what you like and dislike about this vehicle. I like the styling and design. Indeed a good starter bike for racing enthusiasts and a good compromise from bigger and heavier bikes, not to mention more fuel economy. I dislike the fact that its only made in thailand which makes it an imported bike to other countries; thus they come out more expensive.
Also not being a 'regular' model by honda.. Parts are limited compared to 250, 400, 600, 1000, 1100 cbr models. Describe your driving experience with this vehicle: very good pick up in stop and go traffic (provided given the right rev / rpm). At speeds above 80kph, handling the curves are still stable compared to smaller and conventional / standard bikes in its class. Powerful brakes but no abs so beware of tires locking on sudden hard breaking, plus the stock irc tire has a hard compound making it more prone to slipping. With a more distant bore & stroke difference, this high rpm engine can use a higher sprocket ratio.
Its current ratio is about 2.93. It may help to get a bigger rear sprocket or smaller engine sprocket raising the ratio to 3.00 or 3.14 remember no matter what machine you operate, engine and oil temperature is important for top performance and efficiency. Change engine oil regularly, it quality should never be compromised. Equally important is the proper break-in; honing the cylinders, ignition chambers and valves, ensure maximum compression and highest power output in each engine’s class. Who should buy this vehicle? Who shouldn’t? People who buy this vehicle are more of racing enthusiasts and former 'bigbike' users who are now in the economy living. It closely resembles the qualities of a 'small bike', nimble in traffic; with a 'bigbike' performance..
The 150cc 4 valve, 11:1, ±18~20bhp engine provides pretty good acceleration and power. People shouldn't buy this bike for business / daily commuting use.. Especially if one expects a means of transportation performs any better fuel economy than 35~40 kmpl.
