It was January 2009 when I was looking for a bike in 125cc segment and after searching all the options I purchased Honda Stunner. I tested bikes from bajaj, hero honda and tvs. I wanted to go for Bajaj Discover but it was very common bike at that time and hero honda bike lack looks. I checked Glamour but it was an odd looking bike (It is a very good bike otherwise). I did not go for TVS as I was already using TVS Victor (A masterpiece from TVS which helped company to stand on its feet). And finally I decided to buy Honda. I thought Honda is a big and trusted brand, so I purchased Stunner for 57000 Rupees (They advertise it for Rupees 47500 and later said that the advertised model has been discontinued). But once I decided I had to buy it (My younger brother also interested in stunner).

I will rate this bike only on four things:

1) Engine:

The bike had pick problems in the begining which later on got fixed up. Bike is very smooth on the road and the grip is amazing (I would say best in class) at allmost all the speeds. But engine starts vibrating after bike tries to move up the 60 kmph mark. The engine is good if its about pickup but biker does not enjoys the ride due to vibrating sound of engine.

2) Mileage: Mileage is not very extra-ordinary but in city it gives around 50-55 per litre. I have tested o long rides also but the milage is not that 56-57 kmpl (As per my calculation and I am not a rash driver). I have traveled to Ghaziabad to Haridwar and Ghaziabad to Agra three to four times and I regularly go to Gurgaon (around 100 km in a day) and got same results.

3) Pickup- The initial pickup is good as compare to other bikes.

4) Looks: No need to explain much as I purchased this bike due to its sporty looks but here Honda has played with a biker's emotions. The quality of paint is very poor, it goes off very soon. The plastic used is very hard and easily brakable. I lost my indicators in very initial stages of the bike. It looks very good from out side but might dissatisfy the actual user.

OverAll: I give Honda Stunner 7.5 marks out of 10. I have done 17000 Kms and the paint has gone from many places, Engine still has vibrating problem. But if you want better pick up and a decent control & Handelig, just go for this bike. Its grip on road is amazing and the sitting position is good. Now I have got a Yamaha Gladiator SS and I will soon write review on it.

Thanks and Regards,

Dinesh Nim
