Note: Though Stunner is not really a bike meant for modification but, there are people who do this; and buy bikes for this purpose as well. So, I would like this article to be informative to those who intend to buy the stunner for modification.

Please remember that through this review, I don't mean STUNNER is not a good bike, STUNNER is no doubt the best bike in 125cc category; it's just that it's not for youngsters who intend to buy the bike for modification.

I am from Kathmandu, Nepal. Most of the Indian bikes are available here, and Bajaj Pulsar Series is the most common bike in Nepal, especially in Kathmandu. I was planning to buy a Pulsar 200 (because of its look), but when I heard of its gear problems and fuel consumption issues, I had to move on to another. So, I recently bought the new HONDA CBF Stunner 125 [Red].

You could find all the pros in other reviews and almost all of the cons, so I am gonna jot here about how difficult this bike was to modify. Before buying this bike, I was pretty sure that if I made a little changes to the bike, my bike would have the best look here in my city. Here are the problems I had.

  1. Changing the Handle: The day I bought Stunner, decided not to use the bike without changing the handle (with either a clip-on or a shorter one). The next day, I took my bike to a well known workshop (where my friends had modified many of their bikes). What I heard from the mechanic was horrible. He told me that I couldn't change the default handle with a clip on handlebar. Either the front body cowls or the head was a problem, and there were chances of scratches on the tank and the cowls, and that is why I had to be contented with the default handle that came with the bike.

  2. Applying cover on the engines: While I tried to apply cover on the engine (though not a very big one), the mechanic said that the silencer pipe was hindering. Moreover, it wasn't very easy to seal the cover with the cowls like (I had seen people with Karizma doing that).

  3. Changing the tyre: The rear tyre needed no modification, it was the best part (coz the tyres are tubeless, and has a small diameter and is as wide as any of 150cc category bikes).

Other modifications (eg. silencer, lifting the suspension, looking glass, etc) were considerable.

These were all the problems I faced while I tried to modify the bike. Trust me, no two wheeler is harder to modify than a HONDA CBF Stunner. Unicorn was the best of all (looked really gr8 when modified as had mono suspension) but this one is really not what you are looking for if you intend for modification.

I have some other problems too that I would like to add before concluding.

The seat is too hard and uncomfortable unlike Bajaj Pulsar 200 and 220, which has quite a comfortable seat . Ff you think you are going out with your mom on this bike, better not lift the shock as she is sure to fall down every few metres.

Those who are buying the bike for modification, DO NOT GO FOR THIS BIKE !!!

Else, I would say you have Stunner as an excellent choice, and you'll not get a single chance to regret for what you've bought.

Regards
