Hi everybody, This is Udit Jain from Dehardun. I'm doing my B.Tech (4th Year) from DIT , Dehradun.


I purchased a Honda Twister (Heavy metallic Grey) on 29 September from Ess Ell Honda , Dehradun. This has been my worst experience of  a new vehicle. Though I was very excited about the twister because it had got all these awards from various publication houses and magazines and it was going to be my first bike but now I think I would have been better off without it. The bike turned out to be a nightmare with something or the other going wrong with it. During the first 10 days the bike ran well without any problems.


1.But from then on a missing problem started. There was some congestion in the air intake below the seat due to which the bike would stop every now and then .


The average of the bike was also very poor( Best I got was only 47)..


On 15th October the battery started giving problem. It was unable to supply power for horn leave aside self start. I got it recharged from the service center .


2.After  Diwali break I got my bike  serviced. After the service whenever I used to use my choke the bike wud stop running. Again had to visit the workshop to get this rectified. I really think the SC just put in new oil, washed the bike and did not do anything else.




  1. Today (12/11/2011) the battery again discharged completely. Again visited the SC and got the battery checked. This time they sent the battery for replacement. THis will take atleast a month. Can't imagine how I will drive the bike without horn and indicators on the mountain roads for  a month.




I really can't imagine how a company like Honda that says " I enjoy Quality" can in the first place be so casual in attitude and use all faulty components in my bike. The dealership guy told showed me carton full of faulty battery though none of them was from twister all from activa and dio only.


Ess Ell Honda is one of two dealerships present in Dehradun and they have a sought of a monopoly . Due to this they don't pay much attention to the customer's needs.


The workshop of the dealership gets atleast 80-90 scooters and bikes everyday which I don't think they are capable of handling . Due to this they don't service vehicles appropriately.


Recently after the service I got my tank filled with 100rs worth petrol and the bike just churned out 30 kms from that. I wonder what the hell is the problem with my bike. Every now and then some new problem creeps up. Will go to the dealership again after 2-3 days for getting the average checked.


The twister has a problem of its rear tyre skidding on sand and gravel but on roads the bike is reliable. Haven't yet got a chance to ride the bike in rain or wet road so cannot tell anything about that right now.


So far I have made 5-6 trips to the SC with some new problem every time.


I have had a harrowing experience for the past one month and ten days due to all these problems.


I think my bike was a faulty manufacture right from the start. I have decided to get a complete replacement for my bike if any new problem comes up.

I advice all of you to be careful before purchasing this bike.
