In 150cc segment after honda unicorn honda never came upto expectation then here it comes Honda CB Hornet 160R with aggressive pricing around Rs 90000( ex-showroom delhi ) . Honda has bring this bike in sporty look thinking its competitors in mind but what lacks is the pricing and power. It would have been better if it had came with 200cc.
This edition has the same angular looking headlamp with twin pilot lamps at the top corners. There is no difference between 160r and this special edition when viewed head on. Fuel tank has sharp lines and has very large fuel extensions. Standard version has got 3-D logo on tank extensions on either side which gives prominent look. It has got same 160cc engine which doesnt justify the price leived of approx Rs.90000. The four stroke, single cylinder, carbureted, air cooled 162.61cc engine is good to produce 15.8 ps of power and 14.76NM of torque. The top speed pf this bike recorded is 110KMPH.
This bike has retained front telescopic fork as well. Comparing with other 150cc bike it cant be called super comfortable in handling but it's ok in it's own. This bike does not give or can say cannot produce that much power on long highway ride. On long highway ride we get little disappointed. Braking and road grip is fine, as it has got 276mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc. So when concluding all this I can only say we have much more better options available which gives much more powerful engine in this range of price, so I dnt get much thrilled.
