I myself a college sMr_customtakeouternt & I am looking for a hatchback within Rs 5lakhs and now what I am looking for is "great advice's from you experts". After reading hell loads of reviews I came up two hatchbacks which is just meant for a college kid like me. As a college sMr_customtakeouternt design and trendy looks for a car is important but at the same time economy, maintenance also plays an important role.
So its BEAT and BRIO what I came up with. Both the cars have their pros & cons and I am having serious tough time deciding whats right for me.So guys please you got to help me .
The following points are the comparison between Beat and Brio:
Beat pros:
1) Warranty: Chevrolet has promised 3 years or 1, 00, 000 km's warranty whereas Honda has come up with only 2 years or 40, 000 km's .
2) Maintenance: I totally agree HONDA has maintained their quality in their car as well in their spare parts but they are 10% more expensive than the Chevrolet spares and even servicing and labor charges are expensive. And Chevrolet has their quality decent too which makes Beat a better choice.
3) On road price: I'm a Bangalore resident and here in Karnataka BEAT is a bit cheaper when compared to BRIO on-road and with that, BEAT comes with few extra features such as Digital Odometer, Digital Clock, Rear Spoiler and Vanity Mirror.
4) Ground clearance: As specified in the websites both the cars have the same ground clearance i.e, 165 mm but there are few feedback's from customtakeouters telling that BRIO has a very bad ground clearance.
5) Boot capacity: Beat has 175ltrs where as Brio has only 170Ltrs. Even 5ltrs is still a difference, maybe you can fit another extra bag.
BRIO pros:
1) Better power against BEAT . i.e, BRIO has 86.8bhp@6000rpm where as BEAT 79bhp@6200rpm.
2) Design: A big thumbs up for Brio's design . I just luv it . Its smart, trendy and perfect for a college sMr_customtakeouternt like me.
3)Driving comfort: Reviews and feedback's says Brio has a better driving comforts and better controls even at high speeds.
4)Car quality: Honda has always maintained their quality in everything and maybe that's the reason they are quite expensive in their class. Beat may have got some extra features but the dashboard plastic what Beat has used looks so cheap.
5) HONDA provides very few extra features such as Cup Holders-Rear and Wheel Covers.
The above comparisons are made between "Honda Brio E MT and Chevrolet Beat LS" because these two cars fall under Rs 5lakhs on-road which is my budget.
Please help me guys. Tell me whats right for me.
