I got my Honda Brio SMT delivered in July 2013, I drove around 6000+ KM, in high way and city in 4 months. I was driving mostly in city till my 1st service and started to drive on highway after 1st service. Of course this is my first car and I am new to the field of driving. Here are some of the details that people might look for reviews.
Millage in city(Bangalore city traffic) - 12KM/Ltr with AC(AC is always ON) for initial 3 months. 14KM/Ltr with AC in the 4th month.
Millage in highway - 18KM/Ltr with AC at speed 120KM/Hour.
Hilly Roads - 16 KM/Ltr with AC(Drove more than 300 KMs in western ghats)
Top speed: 150KM/Hour(In Bangalore - Hassan toll road)
I am a new driver and I am sure better drivers would get a better millage.
Car is very stable both at high speeds and bumpy roads. Steering control, road grip, breaks are perfect. Wide tiers will give a good road grip on the hilly roads especially in the rainy season. Car looks compact from outside but is roomy compare to any other car in this segment. Turning radius is just awesome, parking and U turns are as smooth as walking:). As like any Honda cars, driver's and passengers comfort is what you get for sure.
AC, Music system, electric operated window/mirrors and things like that are by default in the car. I learnt from some of the readings that aerodynamics of the car is much better compare to any other car in this segment and may be because of that I guess car was so stable even when I was in 150+.
Problems: Gear was getting stuck while changing(1st and 2nd gear), some what got it rectified after 1st servicing, I hope it gets smoother after 2nd service. Car lags when the AC is ON and could be irritating when you are stuck in the traffic.(I have seen this in almost all cars and the same in Brio). Over taking on the hilly roads could be difficult when the AC is ON.
Verdict: Problems can be found in any car. Don't think much, go and buy this car :)
