I recently got to drive my brother's Brio AT extensively. As long as you are in the city, you would enjoy Brio AT experience. But the moment you get on to the highways, the AT fails to impress. As long as you are cruising at a speed of 80-90 kmph.
AT manages well, with the ECO light ON, almost all the time. At 80-90 kmph, the RPM stays at around 2000. But from there when you step on your A pedal, Brio downshifts twice(to third gear), takes the RPM to 5000 range and then slowly accelerates.
This is so irritating. I think its their really tall gearing that makes it so bad. At 2000 RPM(at 5th gear), there is limited torque available and Brio struggles to accelerate further without downshifting(twice)!
