Take one look at Honda’s new BR-V(short for Bold Runabout Vehicle) and you’re likely to be met with mixed emotions. Its squared-out bonnet, chunky bumper, angular headlamps and chrome-rich two-part grille give it an urban SUV look. But from the windscreen on, the car’s shape starts losing appeal. The plastic-clad wheel arches lack muscle, while the tail that extends far beyond the rear doors, gives the BR-V an MPV-like silhouette. In fact, the most SUV bit about the BR-V is its 210mm ground clearance that is best in class. Note, the BR-V is strictly front wheel-drive and there are no plans for an all-wheel- drive iteration.
