Ne of the most awaited launches from Honda for the year 2016 has finally been launched on 5th May, 2016 and the ‘Bold Runabout Vehicle’(BRV) from Honda Cars India has received more than 10, 000 bookings since its launch on May-5. It is being said that the BRV commands a waiting period of more than months in some cities. The Honda BRV has been on sale for a starting price of INR 8.75 Lakhs. The top-end model is priced at INR 12.90 Lakhs and the new Honda SUV in India is available in both Petrol and Diesel engine variants. The new BRV rivals the Maruti S-Cross, Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta. You can book a BR-V for an amount of INR 21, 000. The new Honda BRV has been on sale in a price range of INR 8.75 lakh – INR 12.90 lakhs(ex-showroom, Delhi).
Compared to its rivals, the Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta, the new BRV is slightly cheaper but misses out on some features too. In India, the Honda BR-V has gone on sale with two engines- 1.5-litre iVTEC Petrol and 1.5-litre iDTEC Diesel. Both the engines come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Petrol engine also gets a CVT automatic with paddle shifters. The Honda BRV Diesel offers a best-in-class mileage of 21.9kmpl(ARAI). Mileage of Honda BR-V Petrol is 15.4 kmpl(MT) and 16 kmpl(AT). The BR-V gets features like automatic climate control, push button start, Bluetooth, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED light guides. The Honda BRV comes with a best-in-class ground clearance of 210 mm. It has a maximum boot space of 691-litres.
