Good two wheeler for city commute, grocery shopping etc. Driving slow in this vehicle is good for back. At higher speeds, it could throw you away in pot holes in comparison to bikes. In bikes you might get away with some back pain instead of falling down.
Not suitable for taller people. Might give them shoulder pain. Head lamps are good and bright after 2 years of using. Even though they claim more than 40 kmpl, in reality it is about 30-35 in most cases. Too much of things are shown as accessories. When buying, they charge you for accessories and later say it is not available. You get it next time during service. Many people dont understand what they are buying and pay them in advance. After 2 or 3 service they are fed up and ask for reimbursement. They get some reimbursement and don't know what they did not get( again). I observed the same case with several other people in City Honda showroom, HRBR layout.
A nice two wheeler that commands 2 months waiting time. The City Honda showrooms in HRBR show least courtesy and are not bothered whether you buy or not.
Also in Haiku Honda old madras road, one day is wasted in waiting to give the scooter for service and to get it back. But all things said, this scooter from Honda is trust worthy and quality is good. Engines are safer. But service cost is too expensive compared to others.
The sheer number that you see on the roads writes volumes about Activa.
Pros:
Engine is good
Easier for city driving
Smooth at low speeds
Suspension is good for low impact if supported by slow driving speed
Cons:
Mileage is average
Service quality is bad. Too much of vehicles being given for service and therefore the net result is that govt offices will serve you better than these show rooms.
Not suitable for persons with height 5'5 or above. aka shoulder pain
Slow pick up compared to bikes.
